And now the paperwork issues for medicaid for my daughter are seeming VERY drastic and mixed up and I'm sick over that, and, and, and... stuff I can't talk about...
SO - today is a much needed day of HAPPY.
1. I have 500 followers. Hello there! *waves* I remember squealing when I hit 100, and I don't think I've ever like TRIED to get more followers. So, yanno, that makes me happy.
2. I love that Christa Desir and I have chatted on the phone like 3 times (more now), and she's always like - "Hey, it's me," and then jumps into why she calls without pause. Love this.
3. I love that when I'm having a craptastic day, Steph and Kelley listen to my ramblings, and tell me things like they're snarfing pirates booty and mountain dew, or are outraged on my behalf. Very happy.
4. I love that so many people I know are like millimeters from being able to share big book news.
5. I love that when people ask me what I do I can say "I'm an author, and I stay home with my kids."
6. I love all the awesome people that love books.
7. Twitter - how did I live without you...?
8. People who take the time to write QUOTES from the book they're reading and putting them on goodreads - there is a special place in heaven for you people. I adore you.
9. My local library, who are NOTHING but awesome and give me waves and thumbs up when I walk in the door.
10. And for the totally vain side of me - I love the very impractical car my husband and I bought when my Land Rover (old) died last winter. I don't care if it's Alaska, there's nothing like driving a convertible with some serious ponies under the hood, and a good sound system. Practical? eh... my whole family FITS in it. AND convertibles are cheap in Alaska in January ;-D

I love the terrific writers and agents out there who give their time to host all these wonderful contests. (Specifically to Cupid tonight because she extended an invite to me for her team on the Writers Voice. I am still in shock.)

- I finished my senior undergrad thesis.
- I read an entire book yesterday FOR FUN.
- I am graduating from college in 2 weeks with a Bachelor's in creative writing!!!!!! WAHOO!!!!!!
- I got to spend all day today in pj's because I didn't have anything to do (no classes).

My happy for the week is I have more people looking at my art which encourages me to make more:)
Umm, here is some happy: there was a STUNNING rainbow this morning when I went to take the rubbish out - actually a double rainbow. It was magic.
1. This is going to be a great weather week ~ sunny and warm
2. I got an end table/nite stand today, which means my little flat is completely outfitted and that spaghetti junction of cables on the floor is finally turned into something meaningful
3. Mr. Tinkerbell just finished his nursing refresher course and did really well
4. I think I'm going to France in August
5. I've got my first beta reader/CP
6. My Mum is going to be 82 in 2 weeks and she is reasonably healthy
7. Had a chat with my son last nite, he is finally home from a 5-month long military training stint, safe and sound and with his girlfriend.
8. A favourite blogger of mine, named Jolene, has made another post on her blog ;^D

1. An abundance of freelance work so I can earn some money, which I neglected to do when I was finishing my WIP!
2. My friend is working on my book cover, and says she will have something to show me today.
3. There is chocolate in the house
4. I have a bunch of writing projects stacking up (but I don't know where to begin!)

My happy right now? Um...that my kids are almost over their bout with diarrhea that has lasted forever. Yea, life is like that right now. Thanks for sharing your happy with me.
Someday's it's really hard to see the happy, even when you know you have so much to be happy for...love this post.
Happy that B is officially off of all heart meds. She still takes boohoodles of other things, but her heart is healing beautifully. :)

Happy that although my TBR list is growing way quicker than I can tackle it, that my group of fabulous writer friends is expanding with it. So lucky to know so many amazing, talented peeps.
I love your post and all your honesty...honestly, I do. :) I totally "get" you. Life gets so hectic and crazy sometimes that I kinda get in a funk like that. But yes, so much to be thankful for. My happy list for the week:
1. Moving the horses to an awesome stable with tons of trail riding on acres of property. (that happens today)
2. Reading a review on my book from somebody who enjoyed my book...anytime this happens, it's a major happy moment. Love readers, too.
3. I'm on a writing roll and am seeing the near in sight on my current work in progress.
4. Having my awesome CP's always makes me smile. I love reading their work, and I love that they kick my butt when needed.
5. This post is part of my list, Jolene, because it made me smile and remind me that everyone has bad days...not just me.
Love your little stick men picture, and hope things look up for you soon. Great that you're trying to look at the positive and keep focusing on the happy. :)
