After Much Consideration...

In America we're in the final throws of a presidential campaign.

And in this chaotic time, I've wondered which topics mean the most to me, and how I feel about them. But then I realized that I already know. I know who I'm going to vote for, and have known for some time. I do actually have a degree in political science and care about this stuff, and I'm grateful EVERY day that my husband and I feel the same way.

BUT this is not a political blog, and this is not going to be a political rant. BUT I am going to attempt to affect change...

I'm on a crusade to end the evils of captcha.

Seem dramatic??

I'll admit that I'm being a little ridiculous.

It's an annoyance. A nuisance. Something that keeps me from leaving comments more often than not, because I'm a complete hack when it comes to deciphering...

And so when I went to the site of the HILarious Shelley and Chad, and saw THIS POST on the evils of Captcha. I knew I had to get involved...

Write whatever you want to about captcha and how much it sucks - Nov 12th.
You can sign up HERE.

Mostly every time Shelly and I chat, I realize that we should chat more often because she's that awesome.

Any woman willing to shave her head for a good cause is worth knowing well.

So. This is PURELY for fun. And I hope y'all get involved because I think that every once in a while we take ourselves a little too seriously ;-)

ME included.

I find the only upside is creating cool jibberish words and thinking that could be the name of something... And then it tells me to do it again :(

I feel like I'm trying to figure out The Da Vinci Code when I see captcha. I'm sure I got it right and then BAM...it asks me to do it again. I don't. I leave.

Sounds like a fun thing to take part in and I hate Captcha too. The blog I stick with that has it is Jean Booknerd and that's because of her nice personality and great prizes. Good luck with voting and today I answer all your questions from your Questions...Questions... post on my blog.

And yeah, we sometimes take ourselves way too seriously.

LoL, that sounds like a fun blogfest! I can't wait to see what everyone says about it! It's a minor annoyance for me. I'm actually pretty good at deciphering the code. Sometimes I can't tell what it is and just guess and it goes through! I wish everyone would remove it, but it doesn't keep me from leaving a comment.

I HATE captcha. Really hate it. A favourite blogger of mine decided some time ago to boycott blogs with word verfication/captcha.

I'm voting with Jolene this year!

I don't know how you can screw up 5-6 little characters, but it always seems like I have to type those captcha codes in 2-3 times.

Is it because I read it wrong?
Is it because I type it wrong?

I don't know. I don't care. I just want them gone! :)

Happy Halloween.

Oh, by the way. I don't give up on captcha blogs. And I keep retyping it in until I get it right.

Yes, I'm a sucker.

I can't even SAY captcha... (How do you say that word???)

What an excellent scheme to take part in! I hate Captcha so much, it always discourages me to comment. I find them almost impossible to read, I swear they used to be easier! I have started using a captcha bypass browser extension called rumola which enters the pesky blighters for me! I would recommend to any fellow captcha loathers!
